Awful. Ran out of meat for carvery at 4pm on a Sunday to be told they weren’t cooking anymore only turkey which would be a 15 minute wait. Waited nearly an hour for other meals, and when they finally arrived one meal was missing. Asked a waitress to check where missing meal was, who replied with attitude ‘I’m actually cleaning, when I’ve finished I’ll go and check’. I didn’t realise wiping a table was more important than serving your customers there meals, especially when the pub was DEAD and there was no one waiting for said table. Had to ask multiple times for missing meal as rest of table had finished eating and it had still not arrived. It finally turned up, to which we were told by a different waitress ‘its not my fault I’ll take it back if you don’t want it’. The attitude on staff was disgusting, wouldn’t even speak to my dog the way they spoke to my Mum. Food was edible but wouldn’t return if they offered me it for free. Got a refund for the one meal that arrived late but only after my Grandad had to get up and ask to speak to a manager. No apology. Won’t be returning ☺️

We weren't told there was a half hour wait. When my steak and ale pie arrived, I found the chips and peas were excellent, the pie not so much. The gravy and meat were overcooked and black. The base of the pie required chainsaws to cut it. When I complained in a non confrontational manner no one seemed particularly bothered. Such a shame. Chris Fisher

Booked last minister for evening meal. Two adults, I e child. Easy to book online. Carvery had run out at 7.25pm but wasn't a problem as we didn't want carvery. All ordered various burger meals. Meals looked bland, but surprisingly tasty. Drinks are expensive but are everywhere. Lots of dirty tables not cleared so assuming we had arrived after a busy period. Not many staff. Staff were friendly. Play area inside and climbing frame outside. Would try again.

On arrival we were told that steak and all burgers were not available. I ordered the mixed grill and the veggie carvery (both not available) so I ordered the chicken platter and small carvery. First the chicken platter, the BBQ chicken wings were dry and not saucy at all the grilled tomato and peas along with the butter chicken goujons were missing completely! As for the carvery the veg looked like it had been sat for a long time and was mushy the meat however was very nice. In all it was a very disappointing visit one that we will not be repeating any time soon

Nice carvery with choice of mainly fresh vegetables but other items on the menu were below average and disappointing even with the 30% discount voucher .

Got here at half 6 for a table of 6, ordered food at 7pm. Had to change food options multiple times as they didn’t have anything in. Eg no curry for a kastu curry burger!! no fish and chips, no stake… I mean, what??? What they did have was poor, after waiting until 8pm to receive it. We quickly ate and left.

Many mains missing from menu when I tried to order, so ordered carvery to find there was only some dried up beef remaining. Sausage and mash was miserable. To top it all off took 50 minutes to arrive.

Was excited to have the veggie burger only to be told about ten minutes after ordering that they didn't have any. There wasn't many other veggie options so I had to have the mac n cheese instead. They let me change the garlic bread to chips since we ordered a side of cheesy garlic bread anyways, but was given a normal garlic bread when the food came. The waitress sorted this out for us straight away and let us keep the normal garlic bread too which was nice.
